Time: 45 minutes
Procedure:
Read short articles about relationships in the family, answer reading comprehension questions about these articles, discuss what people consider as nuclear vs. extended family, and play a competitive game involving vocabulary learned in the unit.
Activity 1
- Students read the the entry Nuclear family in simple wikipedia and answer questions 1-2.
- Check and discuss answers.
Activity 2
- Students read the the entry Extended family in simple wikipedia and answer questions 1-2.
- Check and discuss answers.
Activity 3
- Students divide words into these two categories (nuclear / extended family).
- Students discuss other terms and think what people consider as nuclear vs. extended family.
Activity 4
Students play a Kahoot game involving vocabulary learned in the unit.[/tabcontent][tabcontent]
