Procedure:
Read a short article about friendships, answer reading comprehension questions about this article, listen to a song, and discuss what people consider as rules of dating.
Activity 1
- Students read the the entry Friendships in simple wikipedia and answer questions 1-3.
- Check and discuss answers.
Activity 2
- Students predict which words are going to be found in a song relating to friendship.
- Students listen to a song Anytime you need a friend and write down words from the song.
- Check and discuss answers.
Activity 3
- Students watch a scene from Friends on YouTube.
- Students discuss the rules of dating, that is, whether it is OK to date someone your friend had dated first.
